Yes. Hoodroid donates hashrate at 1.5% of all nonces to one of 11 addresses who funded the development of this software. It uses a separate stratum connection to do this continually - 'per-nonce mode'. You will see a worker HooDroid_DF on your stratum.

Modern Android versions use aggressive background management. To prevent the OS from terminating the process, go to Settings > Apps > Hoodroid > Battery and select Unrestricted. This whitelists the app from "Doze Mode".
Yes. In the App Info for Hoodroid, ensure Allow background usage is toggled ON. Without this, the OS may terminate the mining process as soon as the app is no longer visible on your screen.

Hoodroid can stop mining when the battery health drops below a configurable percentage, or above a configurable temperatures. If possible we recommend limiting the maximum charge level in Android. Mining with "half" cores can reduce the amount of heat generated without sacrificing too much hashashrate as the miner will always attempt to use the prime/big cores first
